What it is & How to deal with it

We all have and will face anxiety in our lifetime. Maybe you're having anxiety about a job interview, or an upcoming test. We all face some type of anxiety, whether it is or isn't a lot. Some people may have severe anxiety, and some people may have anxiety disorders. Examples of anxiety disorders are panic attacks, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder. These come with symptoms of uncompressible stress and states of restlessness.


What is anxiety?

Anxiety is persistent worrying about everyday tasks. Examples are public speaking, the first day of class, and social interactions. People typically have feelings of nervousness when it comes to these things, and others have anxiety about them. Either way, it is completely normal. However, if you feel as if you are facing more severe symptoms of anxiety, you may want to consult a medical professional.

Your anxiety symptoms may differ from someone else. Here is a list of commonly observed symptoms of anxiety.

-Increased heart rate

-Restlessness

-Difficulty concentrating

-Irregular breathing

How to deal with everyday Anxiety

Some things to try are sleeping, meditating, exercising, eating well, avoiding caffeine, and practicing self-care. Remember that anxiety is normal and everyone gets it, even if people have it more often than others. If you ever feel like your anxiety is borderline unbearable, you may want to consult a trusted doctor.
